Security Laminates

Security laminates produced by OpSec offer interlocked overt, covert and forensic levels of security that can be integrated into the latest ICAO machine-readable travel documents. These include pressure sensitive labels, heat-applied and ULTRA™ thin film laminates all of which can be supplied with a variety of security features, including HRI, SecurMAX liquid crystal OVD, and invisible UV inks.

ULTRA™ is OpSec’s thin film security laminate ideal for high-value documents. It is a chemical coating, not an extruded film that meets the requirements for passport and visa applications set forth by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). ULTRA is micro-thin, so deliberate scraping of the coating results in the immediate destruction of its security elements.

OpSec’s heat-applied polyester security laminates provide durable, tamper resistant protection for personal data on high-value documents. Available in a variety of thicknesses, these laminates are suitable for use with any desktop passport laminator.

Our polyester pressure sensitive security laminate is easy to apply without special equipment. The pressure sensitive adhesive bonds permanently to visas or passports and is ideal for single insert formats.  Any attempt to peel off the laminate destroys the printed data.
